Merely Players Community Theatre

Health & Wellness Policy

Updated 9/11/2023.

At Merely Players Community Theatre, the safety of our patrons, volunteers, artists, and staff is our highest priority. Management is regularly reviewing guidelines and recommendations from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). We will be making necessary adjustments as needed to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for everyone involved.

For Patrons

Masks are no longer required to attend shows for the 2023-2024 season, however masks are always appreciated in our space, as the intimacy of our venue increases risk of transmission to other patrons and our artists, which could lead to illness and/or cancelled performances.

For Performers and Volunteers

We are no longer requiring COVID-19 vaccinations to audition or volunteer for a show; however, we strongly encourage all eligible individuals to receive recommended vaccinations, including those for COVID-19 and other communicable diseases. Vaccination is an essential step in protecting individual health and creating a safer environment for everyone involved in our theatre activities.

We encourage all participants to practice proper hygiene practices and conduct self-assessments for any symptoms of illness before attending theatre activities. Staff, volunteers, and performers who are unwell should stay home and take adequate rest until they have fully recovered.

By adhering to this Health and Wellness Policy, we can create a safe and healthy environment that enhances the overall experience for all individuals involved at Merely Players Community Theatre. We appreciate your participation in this effort.
